CAFCAN will offer a tiered membership structure to cater to the diverse needs and capacities of African football clubs in Canada. The tiers are designed to provide increasing levels of benefits and engagement opportunities.
Associate Member
Open to any African football club in Canada that is formally organized (has a constitution or set of rules) and agrees to abide by CAFCAN’s bylaws.
$100 /year
Benefits:
- Recognition as a CAFCAN member.
- Listing in the CAFCAN online member directory.
- Access to CAFCAN's online resources (templates, guides).
- Eligibility to participate in select CAFCAN events and programs.
- Networking opportunities with other African football clubs.
- Right to attend CAFCAN general meetings.
- Access to group discounts for select services (e.g., insurance, equipment).
- Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
Full Member
Open to African football clubs in Canada that meet the requirements for Associate Membership and have been in operation for at least two years, with a proven track record of organizing regular activities (leagues, tournaments, etc.).
$250 /year
Benefits:
- All benefits of Associate Membership, plus
- Priority access to CAFCAN programs and funding opportunities.
- Eligibility to participate in all CAFCAN events and programs.
- Opportunity to host CAFCAN-sanctioned events.
- Promotion of club events on the CAFCAN website and social media.
- Representation in CAFCAN advocacy efforts.
- Eligibility to apply for CAFCAN grants (when available).
- Access to personalized support from CAFCAN staff.
Premier Member
Open to African football clubs in Canada that meet the requirements for Full Membership and demonstrate a high level of organizational capacity and community impact. Criteria may include number of registered players, active community programs, and financial stability.
$500 /year
Benefits:
- All benefits of Associate Membership, plus
- Enhanced promotion and visibility on CAFCAN pla orms.
- Opportunity to serve on CAFCAN committees.
- Representation in CAFCAN leadership (e.g., eligibility for board positions).
- Access to exclusive funding opportunities and partnerships.
- Tailored consulting and capacity-building support from CAFCAN.
- Recognition as a leading African football club in Canada.
Honorary Member
By invitation of the CAFCAN Board of Directors.
